Coffee has become more than just a beverage—it’s a meaningful ritual. Offering a cup of coffee to a visitor in our home or workplace is a sign of welcome, a gesture of hospitality. Often, from this simple act arises a rich conversation, a moment of reflection, or the sharing of life stories.
To offer someone coffee is to say: You are welcome here. Sit, stay a while. Let’s talk.
If this is true in our everyday lives, imagine what could happen in the extraordinary moment when we choose to invite Jesus to have a coffee with us—bringing an open heart, a spirit of welcome, a desire for dialogue, and a willingness to reflect and give thanks.
What if we approached this time with humble secrecy, quietly opening ourselves to this divine encounter?
Saint Paul tells us that Jesus, “though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself...” (Philippians 2:6-7)
Our good God became human—vulnerable, humble, gentle—as a child, to walk with us and teach us by example.
So today, I invite you: Have a coffee with Jesus. Welcome Him. Sit with Him. Speak and listen. Let it be a sacred moment of presence, of love, and of life shared.
